Objectives

I set out with a clear goal: to give the hero image on our customer marketing page a fresh new look. My aim was to make it more appealing to our existing customers while also catching the eye of potential new ones. Alongside this, I wanted to shine a spotlight on how widely New Relic is used by organizations all around the world.

While my main focus was on redesigning the hero image, I didn't work in isolation. I collaborated closely with digital designers Yasmin Vahdatpour and Taeho Chang. Together, we dug into the objectives of the page and mapped out the user journey to ensure our changes would hit the mark.

Solution

For the hero redesign, I opted to showcase New Relic's global presence using a literal approach. I designed a dynamic depiction featuring a globe adorned with data points and vibrant hues, complemented by data streams extending outward, symbolizing the platform's reach.

Result

After five rounds of design iterations and feedback, the final result seamlessly aligned with the page's objectives, driving engagement among existing and potential customers while affirming New Relic's extensive user base.
